At the beginning of the summer we announced our plans to host a summer intern and then in July we offered some initial insights. In October, Steve Wilson presented lessons learned from the program at the Association of State Drinking Water Administators annual conference.
Our intern and the participating communities both received great benefits and we learned even more about how we might run this program on a larger scale. The biggest surprise was an excellent reminder that every system is unique and flexibility of time and resources is essential. I've embedded the slides below.
